May. 2nd, 2024 09:52 pmWell this has been a ROTTEN day. I reckon this was one of those 'I used to feel like this all the time' days. I have no idea how I kept moving, because the only thing that really got me standing up was the need to get lunch ready for The Panda, who had a meeting over lunchtime and needed a hand.
I should have been able to rattle off a stack of photos during Creatoholic Time™, but there were only three in the entire DAY. So. Here're two.
A couple of nights back, The Cub was auditioning for the local Brownies/Guides/Ranger Gang Show (153 applicants! I have misgivings) and they ran over; I walked the neighbourhood instead of taking to the suggested pub 😂 and had an interesting time, if Georgian, Victorian and Contemporary architecture's your thing, likewise hunting bats, passing traffic, a young couple ranting at each other, finding stairs that can be seen on a map from about 1850 and spending time watching Christmas lights sparkling on the cage that would have protected a sapling, if the sapling hadn't given up the ghost already.
Nice. And there was damn all going on in the pub, either – I saw one bloke through the window playing pool and another waiting to serve at the bar. I'm thinking they make most of their money at the weekend?
