Jun. 19th, 2023 12:57 pmFather's Day here, yesterday.
I must say that, by about 11:15, what I truly wanted for Father's Day was Monday.
Things did improve, but it's rarely a happy day.
The weather also broke; a warm day turned to a warm and uncomfortably moist day as thunderstorms passed over, although we missed the heavier offerings, according to the weather radar website.
The house was uncomfortable. Twenty six humid degrees Celsius indoors compared to a very comfortable, if damp, 16C outdoors. The house insulation did it's job very nicely – it takes a day or two for the place to lose all its heat to the environment. It's still 25C in here now and the garden is a grey 22C.
Most of the year, the place is quite comfortable.
Unless it's Father's Day ;-)
