Oh look. Another variation on a chest infection. And sneezing.

C'mon. The hundred days for the Hundred Day Cough has to be up?

In other news, the Panda's car has come back from the shop with all its recent dings and bumps smoothed out, I swapped the dead headlamp bulb out without the aid of the mechanic (I could have sworn that it required the removal of the front bumper, but perhaps that's only on the passenger side. Strangely the reflector unit was slightly out of alignment which gave me the hint. Maybe the shop needed to replace the bulb to move the car at night and did it badly? Who can say. Here's hoping that the beam alignment is still good.

I had quite an exciting, action-packed dream last night. Very action movie style.
Details are of course hazy but the Panda and I were being pursued by a small criminal gang. We had taken shelter in a very 1970s style, very cheap, hotel and I was moving around the property more and more like an escapee from a Die Hard movie, the gang having both caught up with us and, it turned out, were known to the staff, who also joined in the hunt. The panda had been captured after a she'd performed a daring dive into swimming pool and I was trying to work my way around the building to get her, although at one point I did stop for dinner. The gang caught up with me there and there were eight or ten of them outside the almost school-plain dining room, waiting to give me a good smacking for whatever humiliation I'd provide with earlier (the gang also included an ex local councilor I used to know; he and several other low level members of the gang were running around the car park and entrance Road of the hotel on all fours with blue designs painted on them. They could well have had a right to be annoyed at me). I am not sure how I got away from them; something occured to me while I was using the excuse of needing to finish up my last few mouthfuls and I was off and vaulting into the underground car park before they knew I'd gone.
I was lining up to leave with the car of one of their bosses, a blond, permed 30-something with mirror sunglasses, shirt open at the neck and jeans, but needed to collect the Panda first, so was climbing fences, squeezing through gaps, using fire escapes, running along high beams and trying to knock two young gentleman carrying AK-style weapons the thirty or so feet to the floor, as I worked my way back into the building. Sadly, I woke up at that point and had to make sandwiches – I didn't make the Cub's school lunch last night because I felt so rotten with this cold, but a good night's sleep definitely helped, Parkour action sequences not withstanding 😄
