May. 11th, 2024 08:09 amManaged to get into the garden yesterday. The grass hasn't been cut this year and, while it looked particularly green and an excellent place for the local cats to conceal themselves, there are limits!
I ignored the self-imposed stricture of No Mow May* and gave the few square metres of grass a trim and a good edging. After a quick tidy, I did a couple of times in the back garden, but found I was losing steam and getting out of breath, so it was a good thing the Cub arrived for lunch early**.
A Couple of hours later though, while the curve was doing a loud DJ Concert I dozed off repeatedly; eventually I gave up and went to bed for an hour. This helped, but I was ready to sleep EARLY. To recover from an hour or two of pretty light gardening, for crying out loud!
Well, it's a start๐๐
*It's a Thing, but Just Leave It June, which I came up with a year or two back, only works if you take an edge trimmer around the place
**School closed for the day as the staff wished to attend a colleague's funeral
